Terms and Conditions for Calligraphy Kitchen
Welcome to Calligraphy Kitchen. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our online platform and the services we provide. By accessing or using our services, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, you must not use our services.
1. Services Offered
Calligraphy Kitchen specializes in providing premium catering services including, but not limited to:
- Bespoke menu creation and customization.
- Corporate event catering.
- Wedding banquets and reception catering.
- Private dining experiences.
- Food styling for various events and productions.
- Dietary-specific meal preparation (e.g., vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, allergy-conscious).
- Sustainable ingredient sourcing and preparation.
All services are subject to availability and specific agreement based on client requirements.
2. Booking and Confirmation
- Inquiries: All service inquiries can be made through our online platform, email, or telephone.
- Proposals: Upon receiving an inquiry, Calligraphy Kitchen will provide a detailed proposal outlining menu options, pricing, and service details.
- Confirmation: A booking is considered confirmed only upon receipt of a signed agreement or an explicit written acceptance of our proposal, along with any required deposit payment as specified in the proposal.
- Lead Time: We recommend booking our services well in advance, especially for large events, to ensure availability.
3. Payments and Deposits
- Deposits: A non-refundable deposit, typically 30-50% of the estimated total cost, is required to secure your booking. The exact amount will be specified in your proposal.
- Final Payment: The remaining balance is typically due a specified number of days before the event date, as communicated in your service agreement.
- Payment Methods: We accept bank transfers and other payment methods as agreed upon.
- Late Payments: Overdue payments may incur late fees or result in the cancellation of services.
4. Cancellations and Changes
- Cancellation by Client:
- Deposits are non-refundable.
- Cancellations made within a specified period before the event date may incur additional charges up to the full agreed-upon amount, depending on the proximity of the cancellation to the event date and incurred costs.
- Changes to Bookings: All requests for changes to menus, guest counts, or event details must be submitted in writing and are subject to Calligraphy Kitchen's approval and availability. Changes may result in price adjustments.
- Force Majeure: Calligraphy Kitchen is not liable for failures or delays in performance under this agreement that arise from causes beyond its reasonable control, including, but not limited to, acts of God, governmental regulations, war, acts of terrorism, civil unrest, fires, floods, earthquakes, or other natural disasters.
5. Dietary Requirements and Allergens
- Calligraphy Kitchen is committed to accommodating dietary needs and allergies. However, it is the client's responsibility to clearly communicate all dietary restrictions and allergies for guests well in advance.
- While we take utmost care, we cannot guarantee a 100% allergen-free environment due to the nature of a shared kitchen and potential for cross-contamination. Guests with severe allergies are advised to exercise caution.
6. Client Responsibilities
- Access: The client must provide Calligraphy Kitchen with appropriate and safe access to the event venue and kitchen facilities, if applicable, for setup, service, and breakdown.
- Guest Count: The client is responsible for providing final guest counts by the agreed-upon deadline. Charges will be based on this final count or the guaranteed minimum, whichever is greater.
- Event Details: All event-specific details, including timings, layouts, and special requests, must be communicated in writing and confirmed with Calligraphy Kitchen prior to the event date.
7. Limitation of Liability
Calligraphy Kitchen will exercise reasonable care and skill in performing its services. However, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from (a) your access to or use of or inability to access or use the services; (b) any conduct or content of any third party on the services; or (c) unauthorized access, use or alteration of your transmissions or content. Our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to these terms or our services shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the services.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on our online platform, including texts, graphics, logos, images, and other materials, is the property of Calligraphy Kitchen and is protected by intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, modify, or create derivative works from any content without our express written permission.
9. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms and Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Singapore. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Singapore.
